Correction and Discipline

There are times when we have been corrected or disciplined for a mistake or action, when we had no idea, we were wrong or out of order. Some instances we know we were wrong and remained defiant when corrected or discipline. How well did we take it? Being put in our place sounds harsh as an adult. Adults need correction and discipline also. Read John 8:3-11 and imagine being an onlooker in the crowd. You will find how correction and discipline plays a part in the decision Jesus made in the case of the woman and her accusers. Being humble, patient, and understanding are characteristics of maturity. Saying I am sorry, please forgive me, or thank you for pointing that out, let others know you can accept correction and discipline. Being disciplined is an attribute of our integrity. What do we do when no one is looking? How do you handle situations that can put us in uncomfortable positions. Can you say no, turn away, move on, make an honest decision about your stance? Can we give constructive criticism without humiliating

or aggravating a situation.
